Following disappoint sales figures last week, www.walmart.com announced that it will be arming itself with low prices as it seeks to become the retailer of choice for the upcoming holiday season. In addition to the price cuts on a number of toys made last month by www.walmart.com
, the retail giant will cut prices on a wide range of electronics to help lure in shoppers.

Why wait for your food to digest. No reason to hang out with yoru family for a few hours after your turkey day meal. Texas retailers are plainning to open up the doors at 12:00 AM on the day after Thanksgiving. Why not squeeze a few more hours into the biggest retail day of the year!

And more stores and shopping centers may follow Chelsea Property Group’s decision to open its outlet centers, including Allen Premium Outlets in Plano, at midnight on Thanksgiving Day, besting the previous early bird opening of 5 a.m. that Friday.
To keep shoppers spending, retailers this season will offer more free shipping, lower prices, remodeled store layouts and customized one-of-a-kind gifts. They’ll leverage technology and employee training to maximize shoppers’ experiences and expenditures. Oh yeah, and why wait until 5 AM the day after Thanksgiving to open the stores up….when you can do it at 12:00 AM!

Retail News wal martAP article again citing low energy prices and T.M.X. Elmo rush helping to propel this year’s retail sales. While not much in the world today may be predictable, consumers can at least have a good Christmas/Holiday Season. Expect a good start and a strong finish to Holiday Season with Chanukah stardign on December 25th.
