This past Wednesday, www.walmart.com offered a Nintendo Wii bundle on its website. The bundle included the Wii Console (which includes one remote, one nunchuck, the Wii Sports Game Disk, a power cord, sensor bar and a standard AV composite cable) an additional controller, a nunchuk controller, a Nintendo Points Card, and a choice of four games. The bundle, which should for $553 sold out before the days end.
Interesting story on Digg. Aparently, if you print out and take the barcode for the PS3 or the Wii to Walmart (and other stores I would suppose) and have them scanned, the system should tell you how many unitis the store has received/is expected to receive. Check out the story on Digg.

Reports show most Toys R Us stores received authorization for 5-6 PS3 pre orders. If you didn’t camp out Saturday Night (October 28th) then don’t bother this round. As for the Wii, it appears 15-20 per store but it most cases those are going to be claimed by overnighters as well. I’m going to post a list of some of the places that may be taking online preorders in the near future.

Good news for HDTV owners looking to grab a Nintendo Wii when they launch next month. IGN reported today that gamers will be able to purchase HDTV component cables for the Nintendo Wii upon it’s launch next month. But, for some reason, Nintendo will only be making the cables available via online channels. All the major electronic retailers should have the cables which are to be priced at $29.99.
